Who am I, and how can I help you?

Hi! My name is CoDi Stenson, and I'm so glad you are here. If you've found my site, you must be on a journey to a better life. You might be wondering who I am and why you would ever want to work with me. The story that led me to coaching may not be a traditional one, but it has brought me to a place where I'm passionate about what I do, so I'm grateful for my journey.

I'm what I'd like to call a "recovering overachiever"... but let me back up a little. For the past 15 years, I had always held high-level, stressful jobs. For the most part, my health was always in decent shape, although I'll be the first to admit that I didn't always take the best care of myself. Stress, coupled with long hours, definitely took its toll.

For the most part I was always able to maintain my weight (within a range of a few pounds or so) as long as I was working out constantly and eating perfectly. But if I deviated at all, I would gain weight. Despite knowing a ton about diet and nutrition, I couldn't figure out what was going on.

Then, a couple of years ago, I started having health issues. I gained a significant amount of weight in a very short amount of time, started breaking out with acne, had no energy, and brain fog, along with a host of other weirdly awesome symptoms that I won't go into detail about here. After bouncing around a ton of doctors, every type of specialist known to man, and even turning to alternative medicine and holistic nutritionists, I was finally diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder.

When it comes to autoimmunity, the doctors I saw were not very helpful. While I do strongly believe in Western medicine, I don't think many autoimmune issues are well understood yet.  All they wanted to do was put me on steroids or other meds to control the symptoms, but I wanted to know what was causing the issue to begin with.

Finding Better Health

It was this that catapulted me into becoming my own health advocate. I've become a research junky (sometimes I feel like PubMed is my boyfriend — for a while, I spent more time with PubMed than any actual person!). Any place I could find information, I absorbed it: research studies, papers, books, podcasts, you name it.

Eventually, I was able to find the right combination of factors that were causing my autoimmune flareups. Once I figured out my triggers, the weight started coming off, my energy got better, and I felt like the brain fog had lifted and I finally got my mind back! While this has been a challenging couple of years as I've worked my way back to normal, it has actually been a blessing in disguise. I've become obsessed with finding my healthiest and happiest life, and that is what has led me to coaching. I want to use everything I've learned about — including nutrition, the role stress plays in our lives, autoimmunity, and finding your true passion and calling in life — to help others.

I work with my clients to get to the root of their issues and help them discover their full potential. I started coaching because helping people live their best lives has truly become my passion. If you come to me for coaching, whether it's health coaching around your health and wellness, life coaching around your career, relationships, patterns you're having trouble breaking, or any other issue that's holding you back, I will work with you to identify your issues and help you make progress.

And I know how intimidating breaking old patterns can sound, but you have no need to worry; I'm here to help you. I alleviate the stress of figuring out how to move forward in your life and help you make and embrace the changes you need to overcome your barriers.
